Karen shortlisted for major award

Clients, referral partners and contacts of Gildernew & Co. will be delighted to hear that the practice’s Support team lead, Mrs. Karen Conway, has been shortlisted for the Business Eye 2021 Executive Support Professional of the Year award.

Congratulating Karen on being shortlisted, the firm’s Managing Director Gerard Gildernew said:

 “Karen has played a central role in the growth and development of the practice from the outset. The first point of contact in the firm, Karen’s professionalism, dedication and focus on getting the job done is invaluable to clients and staff of the practice.

 In the past 18 months specifically, Karen has been central in ensuring continuous uninterrupted service delivery to clients and professional colleagues. As an example, In April 2020, she saw through the successful installation of a new practice management system at a time of significant disruption and uncertainty for every business. Clients and staff experienced no disruption and yet Karen continued to balance this implementation with other aspects of her job role – and while home schooling two young children at the same time.”

Speaking ahead of the awards ceremony, Karen was honoured to receive news of her nomination by her colleagues at Gildernew & Co.:

“I am very shocked and surprised, but also very proud to be nominated and shortlisted for this award.  I love my role in Gildernew & Co. – there is a great team ethos in the firm and I have the pleasure of working across all departments in the practice, supporting the team as they deliver client focused services.

I have worked with Gerard for almost 15 years but I have learnt and grown most in the past five years in Gildernew & Co.

I am really looking forward to attending the awards night… though there are a few nerves all the same!!”

The awards ceremony takes place in the ICC in Belfast on Thursday 11^th November.
